Perkin Elmer LAS Pty Ltd, has worked with Clear State Solutions since its inception. Clear State Solutions continues to work and to carry out project and consultative work for the installation and maintenance, especially laser systems, for our Ultraview microscopy product. Allan Anderson gained a wide experience in laser systems and general system support for confocal microscopy during his days at Bio-Rad laboratories where he was Asia-Pacific Support Specialist for that companies confocal products. He was the only engineer certified to carry out laser refurbishment for the confocal systems outside of the US. This allowed a dramatic shortening of the turn around time in laser repair, saving customers much time and money throughout the region.

Allan continues to bring his extensive expertise of confocal microscopy, and strengthens this through his company Clear State Solutions. Any customer using his services will always find a truly professional, no-nonsense approach to their request, whether this be for laser refurbishment, hardware and software issues, electronics design or his general experience on confocal microscope systems.

Allan Anderson is a highly trained instrumentation engineer with a wealth of experience in repairing confocal microscope systems.

Allan has had a long-term interaction with my laboratory in his role of servicing our BIORAD confocal microscopes, which we have had since the early 1990's. He is very sharp and has an extraordinary ability to rapidly target and repair the various system failures that we had with these confocal microscopes. He has often achieved this long-distance over the phone directing us to the problem and sending us the components to reconstitute the system.

In overview, Allan is a highly talented and knowledgeable service engineer who not only repairs our confocal microscope systems but also truly understands these units including that associated with 2-photon microscopy. He is also a true gentleman who cares about his customers needs and is very generous with his time, equipment and is extremely modest in charging for his services.

As manager of a large comprehensive microscopy core facility within Australia 's largest cancer centre,I have little time for equipment that is temperamental or unreliable. With 270+ researchers at PeterMac, it is imperative that the various microscopes are kept in perfect working order with instrument downtime kept to an absolute minimum. Allan Anderson has assisted us in this endeavour. For the past 18 months Allan has looked after the Krypton/Argon laser attached to one of our confocals, the Bio-Rad MRC1024, and maintained the MRC1024 scan head in excellent working order. I have known Allan Anderson since 1994 and have utilised his skills and advice to assist in maintaining our Biorad confocal microscopes as well as our lasers and optical accessories. The work that he has performed for us has been of the highest standard and he has always been willing to suggest and implement improvements and modifications to our equipment. It is, in part, testament to his skills that, after over eleven years of continuous use, our Biorad MRC 1000/1024 UV confocal microscope is still producing images and data comparable with that obtained from much newer equipment. I am happy to know that Mr. Allan will provide service for Bio-Rad's confocal system from recently. I have been looking forward to it for a long time.

I get to known Allan since we bought our Bio-Rad multiphoton microscope (MRC-1024MP) seven yeas ago. He installed almost the whole complicated system by himself alone at that time which gave me very deep impression. He showed high skills in servicing the confocal and multiphoton system. As we are not familiar with confocal system at that time, he showed us how to measure the specifications of the system with great patience. During the installation, he is very strict to himself. He pursued perfect performance of the system and himself. He did not warranty any unsatisfactory. After the installation, we met a couple of times. He came to Wuhan to train new users or to maintain the machine. Each time he gave me the same impression of serious and warm-hearted. He is really an expert in Bio-Rad confocal and two-photon system. Recently he helped us find and solve a hardware problem in our MRC-1024MP system by email. We feel comfortable with our MRC-1024MP system when Mr. Allan decide to work with us.
